Fund Development Assistant

This exciting role calls for planning and assisting fund development strategies that include a balanced portfolio of fund-raising initiatives, effective utilization of staff and volunteer resources, and ongoing evaluation of trends and the programs.  You will help assist some of our key fundraising initiatives including major gifts and planned giving, and assist with the annual giving campaign. This position also requires some administrative duties such as database upkeep as well as answering phones when required. This position offers the chance to further develop your organizational, special-event and project assistance skills, while putting your creativity to the test.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and requirements:

- Organizational skills

- Excellent writing and editing skills

- Written and Oral Communication skills

- Ability to build and maintain relationships with others

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Strong decision making skills including problem-solving

- Adaptable to new challenges

- Event planning experience considered an asset

- Writing experience necessary

- Preferable at least 1-2 years with relevant experience

- Non-profit experience considered an asset

- Previous database experience considered an asset

- Subject to a criminal record check

Salary Range:  $35,000 - $45,000
